I recieved the gift of life on June 12, 2004, and havn't looked back. I feel that God blessed me with a nearly perfect DNA match to my own body, and I am blessed to be on a very low dosage of immunosurpressed meds.

I will always encourage everyone I meet to "go for it" in regards to having a lung ransplant. The options of faluire are so slim now days, that a long successful life is very doable. One thing to remember DO NOT listen to stories of doom & gloom, from well meaning peole. If they havn't walked in your shoes just tell them to "bug off", they do not know anything!!

All I can say is Life IS Good, and with out a Bilateral lung transplant yours truly would NOT be here typing this little word of encouragement. I did not care for the alternative life option, being a slow demoralizing death.
